Matt Haakenstad is VP of Electric Services at Kinect Energy Group. He is a registered Professional Engineer, Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP). He is familiar with end-use technology economics, operation and optimization, as well as energy procurement and hedging strategy. He also has assisted customers in analyzing self-generation; microgrid and DER (Distributed Energy Resource) assessment for DERs such as solar, wind, and battery storage; and combined heat and power (CHP). Prior to Kinect: • Associate Director at Navigant, managing energy efficiency evaluations, M&V analyses and benchmarking studies. • Director of Account management at US Energy Services Inc., focusing on plant site development, energy procurement, price risk management and sustainability services. • Utility experience in industrial energy studies and re-commissioning, and power industry forecasting software management and development.
