Tony Miano has 36 years of experience in the solid waste industry, where he began his career washing trash containers for SCA Services. He retired from the City of Phoenix as the Interim Assistant Public Works Director with 29 years of service. He now is the Deputy Director of Field Operations for the City of Tempe. Tony holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in occupational education from Wayland Baptist University, graduating cum laude. Tony also maintains active membership in the American Public Works Association (APWA) and is a past president of SWANA Arizona Chapter.
