Jan Goetgeluk is the founder and CEO of Virtuix and the developer of the Virtuix Omni, the world’s leading virtual reality motion platform for moving freely and naturally in video games and virtual worlds. Founded in early 2013, Virtuix pioneered the Active VR category for the location-based entertainment industry. Virtuix has raised more than $16MM from private and institutional investors, including Mark Cuban, twelve VC funds, and two strategic investors. As of early 2018, Virtuix has shipped more than 2,500 Omnis through its global distribution network and has installed Omni systems in close to 500 VR arcades and entertainment centers worldwide. Prior to founding Virtuix, Jan was an Investment Banking Associate with JP Morgan Chase in Houston and New York. He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ghent in Belgium, and an MBA from Rice University in Houston, Texas.
