Brandie Barrett currently serves as a Deputy Public Works Director for the city of Phoenix, AZ, where she is provides cross-disciplinary leadership and implements circular economy and economic development projects in support of the city’s Reimagine Phoenix Initiative. She serves as a liaison to the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s CE 100 and manages the city’s agreement with Arizona State University that formed the Resource Innovation Solutions Network (RISN) partnership. Over her 14 years of local government experience, Ms. Barrett has managed a multitude of high profile activities, including managing the city’s fleet of 7,500 pieces of equipment, which was recognized with a Government Green Fleet award. She has presented policy alternatives to the City Council on a diverse range of citywide programs and issues. She holds a master’s degree in American Indian Studies from the University of Arizona and a bachelor’s degree in German Culture Studies from Mount Holyoke College.
