For 40 years Bettina Buckley has been dedicated to taking the entertainment industry to a higher and more effective level of creativity. She returned to The Walt Disney Company in 2017 as Vice President, Disney Parks Live Entertainment for the Walt Disney World Resort and leads a variety of teams to create, deliver and operate high-quality, innovative and culturally relevant live entertainment experiences. Prior to re-joining Disney, Bettina spent 16 years as Proprietor and Executive Producer of WOW!Works, leading creative collaborators and technical partners in multi-faceted and unique live entertainment productions, special events and attractions. Bettina is a strong and resourceful leader with an extensive background in production management and producing, as well as strategic planning and creative development for the live experience industry. Bettina demonstrates her ability to plan and oversee projects and teams by being organized and focusing on details, communication and follow through. Bettina’s diverse producing portfolio includes the 200th Anniversary of Hans Christian Andersen at Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, Celebration City’s Nighttime Spectacular, *NYSNC’s Challenge For The Children, Northland, A Church Distributed, Inc., AT&T Dolphin Tales in collaboration with the Georgia Aquarium, Antarctica for SeaWorld Orlando, and the launch of the Carnival Corporation’s 10th brand Fathom with events at the New York Stock Exchange and the Consumer Electronic Show. Early in her Disney career, she produced four Super Bowl Halftime Shows, Walt Disney World’s 25th Anniversary featuring President Bush’s Points of Light Ceremony, the opening of Disney’s four Florida theme parks, the original IllumiNations at Epcot, the launch of Walt Disney Theatrical Productions, and mounting Disney’s Beauty and the Beast on Broadway. Bettina holds a BA from the University of South Florida and is a long time member of IAAPA and the Themed Entertainment Association.
