Matthew Brown is the Associate Director of Operations for Parking & Transportation Services at Stanford University. As the associate director Brown oversees retail, parking and transit operations. Brown has over 13 years of transportation operations and management experience. Before working at Stanford, he served as the associate director of transportation for the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn), where he took on leadership roles as the chair of Penn’s Bike Planning and Transit Advisory Committees. Brown has served as the General Manager for transit systems at Princeton University and the Savannah College of Art and Design. In addition, Brown has also managed paratransit operations for New York Metropolitan Transit Authority (NYMTA) and New Jersey Transit. Brown is a veteran, having served the nation honorably in the United States Air Force, and has a degree in computer information systems.
