Amy Bourne began her career with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Norfolk District as a federal regulator. After receiving a master's degree in Energy and Environmental Analysis from Boston University she was selected as the first sustainability program manager for the USACE, New England District. In this role she managed a multi-disciplinary team in executing USACE energy and sustainability goals including energy/water/waste reduction and renewable energy projects at 150+ federally-owned buildings. Amy started with the General Services Administration (GSA) as a sustainability program manager within the Public Buildings Service in June 2016. She collaborates across multiple business lines to develop and implement sustainability initiatives and execute the GSA strategic sustainability performance plan for GSA’s owned and leased facilities. Her main focus areas include high performance buildings and healthy buildings, sustainable operations and waste diversion.
