Kay Mooney, FSA, MAAA Vice President Employee Benefits and Well-being Kay Mooney has over 20 years of corporate health care experience. Kay currently leads Employee Benefits and Well-being for Aetna, where she is responsible for the strategic design, delivery and administration of Health, Wellness, Retirement and Financial Benefit plans for domestic and international employees and retirees. Kay most recently led Aetna's national Health Care Reform Exchange Program Management Office, where she was responsible for driving the development and implementation of Aetna's strategy for public exchanges, and she previously served as chief of staff for the Office of the Chairman and CEO. She has held a variety of senior leadership roles at Aetna, focused on pricing, underwriting, product management, mergers & acquisitions integration and medical cost analytics. Kay developed and currently serves as Executive Sponsor for Aetna’s Enterprise Leadership Development Program (ELDP), which is focused on building a pipeline of future leaders with a broad range of knowledge and experience across Aetna’s enterprise through rotational assignments with accelerated learning and development. Her passion for well-being extends beyond her position at Aetna and includes leadership roles with the American Heart Association. Currently, she serves as Chair of the 2017 Greater Hartford Heart Ball. In previous years, she co-chaired the organization’s Circle of Red and Tell 5 campaigns, where she helped drive awareness of the risks of heart disease among women and raise money for this life-saving movement. She also served as Co-chair for the 2010-2011 Go Red for Women campaign for North Central Connecticut, and as Chair for the 2014-2015 campaign. Kay graduated with a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Penn State. She is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, and is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
