Alyssa Betz is an 8th grade English Language Arts teacher for the Elizabeth Forward Middle School. She has been with the district for 5 years. She obtained her undergraduate and graduate degrees at Duquesne University and specifically received a B.S. in Secondary Education, a B.A. in English, a M.S. in Education with a concentration in Reading and Language Arts, and a Reading Specialist Certification. She worked with Carnegie Mellon University to create SMALLab games which focused on grammar and reading content. One of her specialties is differentiating instruction using the technology resources in her middle school’s iCreate Studio.
