Lt. Cmdr. Haberman is a native of Honolulu, Hawaii. She enlisted in the Navy in 1991 and became an Operations Specialist and was selected for the Enlisted Commissioning Program in 2000. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas A&M University in 2004. She attended the Naval Postgraduate School where she studied Mechanical Engineering, and completed a Master’s in Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting from the University of Phoenix in 2012. At sea, she served aboard USS Shiloh (CG 67) as the Strike Officer, USS Chancellorsville (CG 62) as both Assistant Weapons Officer and Weapons Officer, and USS Cape St. George (CG 71) as Combat Systems Officer. While assigned to Cape St. George Haberman she also served as the assistant Chief of Staff for Administration (N1) for Commander, Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 9. She also served at Afloat Training Group San Diego as a Tomahawk Land Attack Missile (TLAM) assessor, and then as the Director of Surface Warfare Officer School’s (SWOS) Introduction for the Pacific Fleet. Subsequently, Haberman completed Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center’s (SMWDC) Warfare Tactics Instructor (WTI) program as an Anti-Submarine Warfare/Surface Warfare (ASW/SUW) WTI. She is currently assigned to SMWDC Headquarters as the WTI Program and Fleet Outreach Manager. Her personal awards include selection as Commander, Carrier Strike Group Nine’s (CCSG 9) 2014 Tactician of the Year, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (6 awards), and various campaign and service awards.
