Lt. Tyler Nicoll is a native of Seattle, Washington. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Norwich University in 2011. At sea, Nicoll served with Mine Countermeasure (MCM) Crew Conflict as Auxiliaries Officer, Electrical Officer, and Assistant Chief Engineer aboard USS Pioneer (MCM 9), USS Ardent (MCM 12), USS Devastator (MCM 7). He later served aboard USS Lake Champlain (CG 57) as Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Officer and primary ASW Evaluator. In 2016, Nicoll completed Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center’s (SMWDC) Warfare Tactics Instructor (WTI) Program as an Anti-Submarine Warfare/Surface Warfare (ASW/SUW) WTI. He is currently assigned to SMWDC Sea Combat Division as an ASW/SUW WTI. His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and various campaign and service awards.
