Eric Bartsch




Eric Bartsch is Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of VerdeGo Aero, a leader in powertrain systems for the emerging urban air mobility (UAM) market. Over the course of his career, Eric has been responsible for leading innovative teams that have launched billions of dollars of new products across a wide array of industries. He has held executive roles as head of Innovation/R&D/Product Development as well as General Management roles with P&L responsibility for businesses in excess of $250M in sales. He has also taught innovation management and founded a consulting firm focused on developing strategic growth plans and commercialization roadmaps for disruptive technologies. Eric holds nineteen US patents with many more issued to the teams he has led. For more than a decade, Eric has been at the forefront of the emergence of electric propulsion in the aerospace industry. He has led teams responsible for developing and commercializing millions of small-scale consumer drones and aircraft, and in 2013 he led flight testing and development for the largest fleet of full-scale manned electric R&D aircraft in the world. Eric assembled and managed the first formation electric aircraft demonstration team to display at AirVenture. He has also worked with multiple commercial drone programs and was co-chair of the 2015 Electric Flight Symposium. In 2013 he co-founded Powering Imagination, an industry advocacy group promoting quiet aviation solutions that utilize electric propulsion for aircraft operating in noise sensitive areas. Eric is a commercially rated pilot with flight experience in aircraft types ranging from gliders to jets to helicopters, including logging time in battery-electric aircraft.
