Dr. Baker served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 21 years, retiring in November, 2000. While on active duty he flew 2,000 hours as an Electronic Countermeasures Officer in the EA-6B Prowler, with 35 combat missions in Desert Storm and 117 carrier landings. He has worked in private industry as an applications engineer specializing in data acquisition and instrumentation automation, transitioning to civil service as an aircraft systems test engineer at NAS Patuxent River, MD. His current assignment is Senior Principal Engineer with the Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA) at Camp Pendleton, CA, supporting test and engineering activities. He has published one book chapter, six journal papers, and thirteen conference papers on antenna design and optimization. His education includes a BGS in History from Kansas University, a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Utah, an MS in Systems Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, an MS in National Resource Strategy from National Defense University, and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hawaii-Manoa.
