I hold a Bachelor of Science with a degree in aeronautical science and aviation management. I hold an Airline Transport Pilot certificate with multi-engine rating. I have experience as a corporate and 135 on-demand charter pilot and instructor. I hold an advanced ground instructor certificate and am a certified flight instructor single and multi-engine, instrument airplane with gold seal designation. I hold an advanced ground instructor license and have over ten years of experience teaching ground school at a community college in addition to having stood up a 141 flight school and having held the position of Chief Flight Instructor. I also hold a remote pilot certificate and fly a DJI Phantom recreationally. I started working for the FAA in 2011 as an Aviation Safety Inspector at the Des Moines, IA Flight Standards District Office. Since then I have served as the Central Region FAA Safety Team Regional POC, Assistant Manager for the Central Region General Aviation and Air Carrier Branches, and as the Assistant Manager for the Air Carrier Transportation Division, Technical Operations branch; AFS-210-2. I started working with a primary focus on all UAS and new entrant activities for the Air Carrier Transportation Division and as the IPP team lead for Part 135 Air Carrier Certifications in January of 2018 and have held that position since that time. In February 2019 I began in the role as the Senior Leadership Team Program Manager for the IPP North Carolina and Memphis portfolios.
