Steve Crosson currently works in San Diego at the Navy’s NAVWARSYSCOM, serving as the Assistant PEO for Engineering (APEO-E) in the Navy’s Program Executive Office for Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence and Space Systems (PEO C4I and Space Systems). He has been in this position since July 2018 with a focus on leading the digital transformation of PEO C4I technical efforts. This includes leading efforts to establish a common DevSecOps process and common software services stack across PEO C4I and the rest of the Navy, as well as driving efforts to implement Digital Twin technologies to both support fleet troubleshooting as well as provide for early system integration evaluations to increase the deployment rate of new capabilities. Steve is originally from the Washington, DC area. He earned a Bachelor’s of Engineering in Computer Engineering (University of Delaware), with Masters Degrees in Software Engineering (Monmouth University) and Systems Engineering Management (Naval Postgraduate School). He has held positions with NAWAR 5.0, the command engineering competency, supporting the Navy’s Command and Control Program Office (PMW 150). He has also worked in various technical and program management roles with the Navy Satellite Communications Program Office (PMW 146), Joint PEO Joint Tactical Radio Systems (JPEO JTRS), the Army’s PM Future Combat Systems (PM FCS) and the Army’s Communications and Electronics Command.
