Debra Reinhart is a Pegasus Professor in the Civil, Environmental and Construction Engineering Department. An associate editor for the Waste Management Journal, she is a registered professional engineer in Florida and Georgia, a board-certified environmental engineer, and a fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Association of Environmental and Science Engineering Professors, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. She has been a reviewer for more than 20 journals and organizations. Dr. Reinhart previously served as the environmental engineering program manager at the National Science Foundation. She also served on the Board of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers from 2004 to 2010 and was president of the organization in 2009. She has a Bachelor’s degree in engineering from Florida Technological University, a Master’s degree in sanitary engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D. in environmental engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
