Robert Orpin is a civil engineering technologist with 33 years of municipal experience with several operating divisions within the City of Toronto. Mr. Orpin holds the position of interim general manager for the Solid Waste Management Services Division for the City of Toronto. The Solid Waste Management portfolio includes providing services to 2.8 million residents, visitors and businesses. The City of Toronto runs the country's largest waste management system, collecting, managing and processing about one million tonnes of waste annually, with an annual budget of about $400 million CDN.
