Melanie Bellinger
Property Manager
Copaken Brooks

Melanie graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a BA in Real Estate. Prior to her start in property management, Melanie worked with several commercial loan servicers including Midland Loan Services and Keybank in Kansas City, performing financial analysis, due diligence, loan valuation and lease reviews. Her experience with commercial loans and property inspections provided excellent experience and made for an easy transition to property management. Melanie joined Copaken Brooks in 2012, bringing with her a strong focus on commercial real estate. Since joining the team, she has progressed from Assistant Property Manager roles; managing commercial office and retail including managing the final construction phase of a corporate headquarters campus for an international software firm in Lenexa, Kansas, to Property Manager of One Park Place condominiums, a 108 unit, luxury high-rise HOA community. Melanie now oversees the entire operations of the property, association and a team of five staff members. As a member of BOMA since 2013, Melanie served as co-chair and assisted in the revival of a non-existent Emerging Professionals program in Kansas City. Melanie received her RPA designation in 2015 and holds her Real Estate Salesperson License in both Kansas and Missouri. Melanie currently serves on the BOMA KC Board of Directors as Treasurer/Secretary and will become BOMA KC President in 2021. In 2017, Melanie was a recipient of the first J. Michael Coleman Scholarship to attend the annual BOMA International Convention in Nashville. She has recently been nominated to serve as co-chair for the BOMA International’s Emerging Professionals Steering Committee and will find out this summer if she will be selected. Melanie is grateful for the many opportunities that have presented themselves since beginning her participation in BOMA and she is looking forward to continued success in her career and with BOMA.
