Frank Christiaens is the Chairman & CEO of CLEARink Displays, based in Vancouver, Canada. Mr. Christiaens has more than 20 years of hands-on experience operating, and managing multinational corporations throughout Asia, South America and Europe. In addition to his role in CLEARink Displays, Mr. Christiaens currently is a Managing Partner at CrossPacific Capital Partners (XPCP). He also serves as a director at Elix Wireless Charging Systems in Vancouver, China Digital Video in Beijing, and Virgo Ventures in Hong Kong. Previously, he was an advisory board member of Espresso Capital Partners in Vancouver and a founding director of AAMA in Shanghai. From 2002 to 2009, Mr. Christiaens served as the President for Greater China for Euronext listed professional display supplier Barco of Belgium. From 2000 to 2001, he acted as founder, director, COO and then CEO, for data services provider Qala in Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. Mr. Christiaens originally moved to Asia in 1996 to head up the internet division for telecommunications equipment provider Alcatel of France. From 1991 until 1995 Mr. Christiaens worked in Europe and South America as a telecommunications project manager. He founded his first startup in Belgium in 1991. Mr. Christiaens holds master degrees in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, as well as Business Administration, and studied at the University of Leuven Belgium, and at the Imperial College in London UK. Mr. Christiaens speaks English, French, Dutch, and understands a fair bit of Mandarin, Spanish, and German. He lived in Asia from 1996 until 2010.
