Tom Lock is a Regional Manager with SCS Field Services in Harrisburg, PA. He has over 31 years of experience in landfill gas collection system operations and maintenance (O&M) and environmental compliance monitoring. Eighteen of those years have been with SCS Field Services where he oversees O&M projects in the northeast U.S. Prior to his current position, Mr. Lock was a technical supervisor with the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts in Whittier, CA. He earned bachelors of science degrees from Penn State University in Earth Science, concentrating in geology and secondary education (science). Mr. Lock has been an active SWANA member since the days of the Government Refuse Collection and Disposal Association. He is currently serving his second term on the Board of Directors of the Keystone Chapter. He has also been a member of the Landfill Gas and Biogas Technical Division’s Field Practices Committee on the national level for many years, and participated in the 2011 rewrite of the Landfill Gas Field Practices and Procedures manual.
