Dr. E. P. (Bill) Hamilton III Dr. E. P. (Bill) Hamilton III, P.E. is President of Hamilton&Associates, an Austin TX Architectural, Engineering and Technical Services firm that he started in 1982. He obtained his BS and MS degrees in electrical engineering from the Universityof Southern California, and his Doctorate from The University of Texas at Austin. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas, a member of numerous professional organizations including IAEI and APSP, and he is a Senior Member of IEEE. Dr. Hamilton has worked in the areas of electrical design and failure analysis for over 40 years. He has been engineer-of-record on a number of electrical projects in Texas. He has also assisted numerous entities over the past 30+ years in the evaluation of electrical and electromechanical failures, has provided evaluation and assistance with warranty-related electrical product issues and recalls, and has represented parties in interactions with regulatory agencies such as CPSC. Dr. Hamilton has also worked for over 20 years in the design and analysis of aquatic electrical facilities, is a co-developer of bonding, grounding and stray current test procedures, protocols and related test equipment for use in aquatic environments. He has worked as an adviser to governmental entities in several states and private entities in three countries regarding electrical issues in aquatic facilities, as a consultant to pool/spa manufacturing companies.
