Elpis Technologies
Chris started in the industrial minerals industry selling additives and other materials as the North American Business Manager for Mica-Tek division of Microfine Minerals Limited, a global manufacturer of industrial minerals and colorants. Here he gained experience in manufacturing operations, market development, and sales and distribution management. He went on to purchase some of the technologies away from Microfine, and co-found All Plastics, Inc. where his primary responsibilities were research and managing developmental projects, ultimately becoming President from 2003-2005. Most of the products he developed for All Plastics pertained to mineral based effect pigments. His expertise in the field of optical effect pigments and color compounding, lead him to become Chief Scientific Officer for Bordener Engineered Surfaces in Midland, Michigan. During this time he also help found Elpis Technologies, where he continues to develop novel additives for paints, coatings, plastics and cement applications.
