Dr. Dongbei Yue

Dr. Dongbei Yue is an Associate Professor and the Associate Dean of the School of Environment at Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and Doctoral Degree in Radiation and Environmental Protection both from Tsinghua University. He has over 10 years of teaching, research and consulting experiences focused on two primary areas: solid waste management, with specific interests including leachate treatment and humification/stabilization of bio-mass waste. His research includes laboratory studies, field experiments, and full scale engineering demonstrations. Dr. Yue authors over 70 peer-reviewed publications and presented at over 30 international conferences. Dr. Yue has received several awards for excellence in research and teaching, including Second Prize of State Technological Invention Award (by the State Council of China) and First Prize of Environmental Protection Science and Technology Award (by Ministry of Environmental Protection of China). He is four-time Teacher of the Year in School of Environment of Tsinghua University for his dedication to teaching and research.
