Isbelis Lopez is a PhD candidate at Northumbria University, her research project is an industry-lead sponsored by coating consultants Safinah Ltd. (UK) and paint company Hempel A/S (Denmark). The project concentrates on the mechanical characterization of protective coatings for offshore wind turbine towers and transition pieces.
