With over 25 years in public safety, Tom currently holds the position of hazardous materials training and development coordinator for the Virginia Department of Emergency Management. With a degree in the physical sciences, he works with the Commonwealth's HAZMAT officers to provide technical and scientific support for emergency training and response. Tom currently serves as an alternate to the NFPA Hazardous Materials Technical Committee.
