Stansberry is a corporate leader with extensive experience in the energy industry. He has many years of experience in domestic and international business development, and has chaired and/or served on private, public, and not-for-profit boards. Stansberry has served as Chairman/CEO of The GTD Group, and CEO/President of The Oklahoma Royalty Company. He is an award-winning author, film producer, columnist and radio talk show host. He is the author of five energy-related books. Stansberry has served on university board of regents for Oklahoma Colleges being appointed by three Oklahoma Governors: Governor Bellmon, Governor Keating and Governor Fallin, and has served as Chairman of the Governor’s International Team in 2007 under Governor Henry. Stansberry served as an intern and a staff member for U.S. Senator Dewey F. Bartlett, 1975-76. He has appeared on CNN, and other TV outlets, has been quoted in newspapers and magazines such as Wall Street Journal Market Watch. A 1977 graduate of Oklahoma Christian University, Stansberry also graduated from the Institute on Comparative Political and Economic Systems held at Georgetown University, 1976. He completed the Stanford Law School (Corporate) Directors College 2008 Executive Education Program, and has completed Corporate Directors Institutes/Programs at Rice University, Oklahoma City University, and the University of Texas at Dallas. Stansberry is the Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame - (Edward L.) Gaylord-(Boone) Pickens Museum, and is Chairman of the Regional University System of Oklahoma Board of Regents, 2017-18.
