Stacie is the critical infrastructure protection program manager for the Virginia office of public safety and homeland security. Stacie managed the Charlotte-Mecklenburg (NC) critical infrastructure protection program, and served as the co-chair of the critical infrastructure subcommittee for the 2012 democratic national convention (DNC) in Charlotte. She was the architect of the Critical Infrastructure Resource Center (CIRC), and the DNC Command Center for public and private sector partners. Prior to her current position, Stacie worked for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Emergency Management, Charlotte (NC) Fire Department, Lynchburg (VA) Fire Department; and in the geographic information systems (GIS) field for the military. Stacie holds a bachelor’s degree in foreign affairs and Russian studies from the University of Virginia, a certificate in GIS from the Pennsylvania State University, and a master’s degree in emergency management from the American Military University. She is a certified GIS-Professional, FEMA Type 3 incident management team (IMT) member, North Carolina associate emergency manager (AEM) and she is currently in the process of earning her national certified emergency manager (CEM). Stacie has been deployed to two federal disasters in North Carolina: Hurricane Earl in 2010 and Hurricane Irene in 2011.
