Roberto Ceniceros is senior editor at Risk & Insurance magazine and has reported on workers’ compensation for 24 years. He is also chairman of the National Workers’ Compensation & Disability Conference & Expo. Prior to joining Risk & Insurance in 2013 he was senior editor at Business Insurance magazine where he founded the popular Comp Time blog and wrote news stories covering nationwide trends in workers’ compensation. He enjoys analyzing commercial insurance and self-insurance issues within the framework of court decisions, legislation, market conditions, and employer risk management practices to reveal trends, best-practices, problem-solving options and a clear understanding of workers’ compensation. Mr. Ceniceros is widely recognized as one of the top journalists covering workers’ comp nationwide. Prior to writing about the commercial insurance industry he was a daily newspaper reporter covering crime in the Los Angeles area. He is a Boise State graduate with a degree in economics and holds an M.A. degree in communications from Cal State, Fullerton.
