Teresa Foster, CAE, is the executive director of Dallas Building Owners & Managers Association, the membership organization representing commercial property owners and managers in Dallas and surrounding areas. Teresa has held this position since January 2011 and is responsible for executive management of the association and serves as president of the association’s related charity, the BOMA/Dallas Foundation. She entered the world of association management in 1990 at the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) in Dallas. During her 20 year tenure at NATA, Teresa worked in just about every department – including meeting management, communications, sponsorship, public relations and government affairs. She moved into the associate executive director role in 2002 and, in 2009, she took over as executive director of the NATA Foundation, the association’s 501(c)3. Teresa has also been an active volunteer, serving on the board of directors and as president of the Dallas Fort Worth Society of Association Executives (DFWAE), and she has participated on committees with the Texas Society of Association Executives (TSAE) and the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). Teresa has also served on the BOMA BAE Council and will join the BOMA Finance Committee in 2018. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and a master’s from the University of Texas at Arlington. Teresa earned the certified association executive credential in 2003.
