Dr. Alessandria has a PhD in Counselor Education from the University of Virginia and Professor of Counselor Education at West Chester University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health (DE), National Certified Counselor, and Approved Clinical Supervisor. She has served as an ACCA representative to the Higher Education Mental Health Alliance (HEMHA) since 2008 and served one term as Chair of HEMHA. Dr. Alessandria has extensive experience presenting on topics related to college student development. Some such topics include: incorporating culture in counseling, and suicide on the college campus.
