Eduardo Velasquez is the Research Manager at the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation (EDC), a non-profit mobilizing business, government, and civic leaders to maximize the region’s economic prosperity and global competitiveness. He is responsible for analyzing the scale and depth of impact that industry and development have on the region's economy. Additionally, he is the EDC’s Cleantech industry lead, supporting companies that make up a $2 billion cluster and directly employ 10,000 people. Eduardo also serves on his neighborhood planning group and sits on the Chamber of Commerce Infrastructure, Housing, and Land Use Committee. Prior to EDC, Eduardo worked as an Economist at Wells Fargo Bank for nearly eight years. He earned an MA in Business Economics, as well as a Double BA in Business Economics and Law & Society from UC Santa Barbara.
