Dr. Mark Bilinski

Mark Bilinski is a PhD Mathematician at SPAWAR Systems Center (SSC) Pacific (PAC). He began his academic studies at the California Institute of Technology where he triple majored in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Economics. He completed his postdoctoral studies at Louisiana State University and then accepted his current position at SSC PAC, where he has been a scientist for the last five years. His project work has covered topics from machine learning, cyber, autonomics, computer vision, data synchronization, and 3D scanning. He has earned three SPAWAR Lightning Bolt Team Awards, an SSC Pacific Center Team Award, a SPAWAR Innovation Award, and a 2016 SECNAV Innovation Award for work performed with 3D scanning. He is currently pursuing his 3D scanning work through SSC PAC’s Battlespace Exploitation of Mixed Reality (BEMR) lab, pushing for wider Navy adoption and trying to engineer the right solution for enterprise wide transition.
