As a college student, Dawn first thought she wanted to be a teacher. While she quickly changed majors to communication, little did she know at that time that her passion for learning and educating would be a key part of her success as a communication professional. Energizing, creative, pragmatic and seasoned, Dawn has earned a reputation as a no nonsense leader who cares deeply for her team and clients. She understands that while channels for reaching audiences have and continue to change dramatically, the fundamentals of effective communication have not. As a Vice President and Partner, the hallmarks of Dawn’s 10-plus year career at Denver-based Linhart Public Relations include building and defending brands and company reputations, developing the talents of high-achieving colleagues, growing the firm, and co-leading Worldcom Group’s consumer practice group. She works with a broad range of clients – from Ancient Harvest to Chipotle and GOED. Dawn has worked in the communication industry for nearly three decades in a variety of roles on the client and agency side. While preferring the Colorado lifestyle, she brings best practices from global PR and advertising brands like Ketchum, Burson-Marsteller, and FCB Chicago. She is passionate about helping to grow Colorado’s “creative class” work culture by connecting talented people who choose stunning Colorado as their career home with talented professionals who love mountain landscapes more than city skylines. A graduate of the University of Dayton and Johns Hopkins University, Dawn lives in Boulder, Colo. with her husband, Matt, who helps to keep her Gemini energy in balance. When she’s not working, she’s planning her next international adventure or preparing for the YWCA’s fall fundraiser, “Dancing with the Boulder Stars.”
