Emily Kanter
Marketing Director & Second Generation Co-owner
Cambridge Naturals

Emily has a background in sustainable food systems, entrepreneurship, community engagement, marketing and design, and brings that expertise to her role of Second Generation Co-Owner at Cambridge Naturals. Before returning to Cambridge Naturals in 2014, Emily lived in Portland, OR with her now husband Caleb, and managed a hunger relief non-profit organization as well as working in local food systems finance at Community Sourced Capital and Beneficial State Bank. Prior to that she was the Programs Director at the Sustainable Business Network of Massachusetts, where she helped launch the first annual Boston Local Food Festival. Emily has also lived abroad in the bustling metropolises of Buenos Aires, Argentina and Taipei, Taiwan, teaching English immersion classes to children and adults. In both countries she witnessed first-hand the detrimental impact of western globalization on native diets. In 2014, she received her MBA from the prestigious Bainbridge Graduate Institute at Pinchot. Emily literally grew up in the natural products industry - her parents Michael and Elizabeth co-founded Cambridge Naturals in 1974. She has early memories of being plopped into a milk crate in the middle of the bustling grocery store, and watching daily business unfold.
