Mr. Nikos Xydas has held the role of Technical Director at WLPGA and also at AEGPL since September 2011. He has M.SC. and B.SC degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Glasgow. His main professional background is in technical, operations and HSSE positions, mostly with international roles with Shell Gas (LPG) and Shell Global Lubricants. Prior to that, Mr. Xydas was with ABB in Switzerland and Greece. The scope of the international roles in Shell included providing a strong mix of competences and experiences to a large number of countries. In Shell Hellas (Greece), Mr. Xydas developed and managed the network of select retail outlets (primarily food retailing). He also he held the roles of Global Strategy and Planning Manager, Global Communications Manager, Global Assurance & Audit Manager and Global HSSE Performance Manager. Mr. Xydas holds double French/Greek nationality, and his permanent residence is in Paris. He speaks English, French, German and Greek.
