Dr. Josh Harguess

Dr. Harguess received his BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University, Tempe in 2000, MS degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics from The University of Texas, Austin, in 2007, and Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from The University of Texas, Austin, in 2011. Since Spring 2012, he has been with the Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR) Systems Center Pacific, San Diego, CA researching topics in the areas of computer vision, machine learning, and pattern recognition with 40 publications in those areas. He currently leads several research efforts in these areas, such as egomotion estimation, image and video quality, and studying the effects of real-world and degraded data on machine learning algorithms.
