Amphibious Warfare Tactics Instructor



Originally from Charlotte, NC, Lieutenant Bower commissioned via Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps in 2010 at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, after earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Air Traffic Management. Her first sea tour was in USS SAMPSON (DDG 102) as First Lieutenant, deploying to independent conduct counter-piracy operations in FIFTH, SIXTH, and SEVENTH FLEET AORs. LT Bower’s second sea tour was in USS COMSTOCK (LSD 45), where she served as Damage Control Assistant. While deployed for seven months to FIFTH and SEVENTH FLEET AORs, COMSTOCK participated in international amphibious exercises with Malaysian, British, and U.S. joint expeditionary forces. Following her division officer sea tours, LT Bower attended the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA, completing her Master’s in Business Administration in Financial Management. Her current assignment is an Amphibious Warfare Tactics Instructor at the Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center in San Diego, Calif. Her awards include the Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, and various other personal, unit, and service awards.
