John is a seasoned risk engineering professional with over 20 years of experience in the EH&S industry, including comprehensive knowledge of environmental consulting, construction safety and risk engineering disciplines. As a subject matter expert, John works with customers to improve their risk management, quality and safety programs by identifying problems and assisting clients in managing and reducing their risks. John has extensive experience working with large contractors and controlled insurance programs throughout the U. S. and abroad. John is a 21-year (retired) U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer and 1st Class Deep Sea Diver with extensive experience in diving and salvage operations with recognized leadership skills. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Management from the University of Rhode Island. He holds the IRMI Construction Risk Insurance Specialist (CRIS) designation, and recently attained the Board of Certified Safety Professionals Safety Trained Supervisor for Construction (STSC) designation. For the past year and a half, John has been studying and speaking to diverse groups of potential users on UAV applications, particularly in the construction industry, and UAV/UAS integration into the National Airspace. John lives in Parker, CO and manages XL Catlin Risk Engineering services throughout the Western United States.
