Mr. Damon S. Feltman is the Chief, Global Space Effects Division, Directorate of Strategic Plans, Programs, Requirements and Analysis, Headquarters, Air Force Space Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. He is responsible for development of system requirements that affect the acquisition and operations of multiple Air Force space systems. His mission areas include space-based infrared sensing and missile warning, satellite communications, integrated threat warning and attack assessment, space-based environmental monitoring, nuclear detonation detection, and support to the Missile Defense Agency. Prior to his current position, Mr. Feltman served as a full-time member of the Air Force Reserve, where he commanded the 310th Space Wing, Schriever Air Force Base, Colorado. He has spent most of his professional career in Air Force and Department of Defense space operations, having worked with the Defense Support Program, Defense Meteorological Satellite Program, and Global Positioning System; inter-continental ballistic missiles; and space strategy, plans, and operational concepts. He also has also worked in the commercial remote sensing industry. In addition to his current role at Air Force Space Command, Mr. Feltman is Colonel in the Air Force Reserve where he currently serves as the Vice Commander, 10th Air Force, Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base, Texas.
