Mr. Steve Breese is the Principal Director of the Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM) Protected Systems organization of the The Aerospace Corporation. He is responsible for managing technical support to the Air Force Advanced Development Division (SMC/MCD), including mission assurance for the Enhanced Polar System (EPS), Protected Tactical Enterprise Service (PTES), and Protected Tactical SATCOM (PTS) Acquisition Category I programs. In his current position Mr. Breese has led system engineering and concept design for key elements of the future MILSATCOM architecture. Prior to his current assignment, Mr. Breese held a variety of leadership and technical positions at The Aerospace Corporation. He began his career providing technical support to multiple military and civilian programs in spacecraft dynamics, control, and attitude estimation. He joined MILSATCOM as a project engineer responsible for the control and propulsion subsystems of Milstar I and Milstar II satellites. Since that time, Mr. Breese has contributed in various capacities to the successful development, integration and launch of 15 MILSATCOM satellites, including key roles in the resolution of test and on-orbit anomalies. He gained management and acquisition experience as Director of the DSCS III and TSAT Space Segment developments. Mr. Breese earned his B.S. in Engineering and M.S. in Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
