Mr. Bret L Fornelius is the Future Protected MILSATCOM Requirements Lead, Global Space Effects Division, Directorate of Strategic Plans, Programs, Requirements and Analysis, Headquarters, Air Force Space Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. He is responsible for development of system requirements that affect the acquisition and operations of future Protected MILSATCOM systems to include Protected Tactical Enterprise Service (PTES), Protected Tactical SATCOM (PTS), Evolved Strategic SATCOM (ESS) and Enhanced Polar System – Recapitalization (EPS-R) and Subject Matter Expert for Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) and Enhanced Polar System (EPS). Mr. Fornelius has been in his current position for 7 years. Prior to his current position, Mr. Fornelius served on Active Duty Air Force as Chief, MILSATCOM Requirements at Headquarters Air Force Space Command. Prior to that his experience includes Operations Flight Commander, 4th Space Operations Squadron, Schriever AFB, CO and Space Cell Officer in Charge, Combat Operations Division, Combined Air Operations Center, Al Udeid AB, Qatar.
