Colonel Timothy Mckenzie is the Chief, Advanced Development Division, MILSATCOM, Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles, Air Force Base California. He is responsible for the next generation tactical SATCOM and strategic polar SATCOM. Colonel McKenzie was formally a student at the Air War College, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. Prior to attending Air War College, Colonel McKenzie served as the Material Leader, Advanced Payloads Division, National Reconnaissance Office, Chantilly, Virginia. In this role, Colonel McKenzie was responsible for developing and deploying advanced imaging technology, payloads, and small satellite systems. His career has spanned a wide variety of space operations, technical management, leadership, and staff positions.
Colonel McKenzie entered the Air Force in 1993 through the ROTC program at Northern Arizona University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
