Senior Systems Engineer, Principal Investigator for L-3 effort on DARPA Mobile Hotspots Program
L-3 Technologies
Roger Baker received his B.S.E.E. degree from the University of Utah in 1984 and attended graduate school at Arizona State University. Roger began his engineering career at Motorola’s Tactical Electronics Division in Scottsdale, Arizona before moving to L3 Technologies where he has worked as an RF and systems engineer for over 30 years. Roger was awarded an Engineer of the Year Award for L3 in 2014. Roger has been working research and development programs sponsored by DARPA for the last 15 years and was most recently the project engineer (PE) on the DARPA Mobile Hotspots program, architecting and delivering millimeter wave technology data links. Roger has also been the PE on the DARPA ORCA and FOENEX programs demonstrating multi-node RF/FSO hybrid system technologies. Roger holds 1 patent and is a contributing author of multiple technical papers, including the cover feature article on E-band performance for the Microwave Journal, October 2014.
