Dr. Louis Christen is Program Manager and Principal Investigator for the DARPA STO 100 Gbps RF Backbone (100G). In addition, he is Director of Advanced Technologies and Communications within Northrop Grumman’s Research and Technology division. Louis earned his Masters and PhD from the University of Southern California with a specialization in RF, Satellite and Optical Communications. He has authored/co-authored over 70 published conference and journal papers in the area of optical communications. Since joining Northrop Grumman in 2000, he has held various RF and Lasercom Systems Engineering roles on military Airborne, Ground and Satellite communication system programs.
