Maria Horton is the former CEO/Founder of EmeSec Incorporated, a cloud security and engineering company. She is currently the FedRAMP Program Manager and Cloud Security expert for DecisionPoint Corporation. Ms. Horton holds the CISSP and ISSMP security credentials. A retired Navy Commander, her last active duty role was as the CIO of National Naval Medical Center, now the Walter Reed Military Medical Center during 9/11. Maria previously created two eBooks under the title banner #SimplifyCUI - which won two national awards in 2017. She presents regularly on risk management, IoT, and cloud security. She is a member of AFCEA Homeland Security Committee.
