Andrea is in her twenty-ninth year at USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service. She began her career as a front line staffer in the New York City Field Office, charged with the licensing and monitoring of stores participating in the Food Stamp Program. She later served as the retailer Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) liaison in the Northeast Region, and then as Assistant Director of Field Operations. In 2004, Andrea came to the national office to lead the SNAP retailer policy team, and since 2010 she has been the Director of the SNAP Retailer and EBT Issuance Policy.
