Dr. Daniel W. Engels is an original member of the MIT Auto-ID Center where he led the development of the Gen2 protocol. He has published extensively on RFID and IoT technologies and applications. Dr. Engels is the recipient of the 2014 AIM Ted Williams Award and is member of the AIDC 100.
