Olaf Lohr is the Manager of Utility Relations at sonnen, world’s leader in residential battery storage, Virtual Power Plants and hardware technologies. Prior to joining sonnen, he worked for a solar EPC company in sales and project management, and started applying his electrical and business background to the growing renewable market. Olaf now provides leadership for sonnen’s expansion in specific US markets, and is developing partnerships with utilities for different ownership and business models, to propel sonnen’s technology and energy services forward. Career Highlights are the implementation of the first Net Zero Mobile Home Community in the US – McKnight Lane in Vermont with GMP, that features a utility interactive battery storage VPP from sonnen, and the Smart Home Study with Itron featuring sonnen systems in SDG&E, with the goal to counter the Duck Curve through smart energy management of BTM assets. He holds a Masters in Sports Management from the University or Bayreuth, Germany.
