Founder of the World leading Zephyr solar powered high altitude UAV, Paul has 25 years experience in UAV and satellite design and operations. His early career was in the development and operation of remote sensing and communications satellites, culminating in the design and successful demonstration of the World's first high resolution, small satellite - TopSat. With the designer of Zephyr, Chris Kelleher, Paul then set up a dedicated incubator business within QinetiQ to develop this ground breaking UAV, leading to the 14day flight of Zephyr 7 in 2010, which remains the longest duration flight of any UAV. Following a successful return to satellites as Director of Earth Observation and Science at Surrey Satellites, Paul managed the transfer of Zephyr to Airbus in 2013, where he continues to support the Zephyr pseudo-satellite program.
