Dr. Rahman earned his M.Sc. in Microbiology from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh in 1996, and Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Ehime University, Japan in 2002. He has more than 20 years of active research experience in the areas of Microbiology, Infectious Diseases, Biosecurity, and Biodefense. His current work focuses on enhancing the biosecurity surveillance of Biological Select Agents and Toxins using RFID technology.
